Find a port. Make the connection.
Every truss part has ports: faces that carry a position, a direction, which way is up and a profile size. Hover a port and the part you are holding snaps to it. Hover nothing and it previews at the cursor.
Straight Truss takes two clicks: the first anchors it at a port or a starting point, then you choose the length and direction and click again to place it. Placement carries on from the part you just placed, so a run is built by pointing along it. Esc ends the run.
It refuses what will not fit. A 290 truss will not bolt onto a 400 face, and the message names both sizes. While running Straight Truss, hold Alt and click a port to drop in a corner block.
Ten truss tools.
- Truss Base: stand a truss on the ground or on any picked face.
- Straight Truss: box, triangular or ladder truss in stocked lengths from 0.5 to 4.0 m.
- Corner Block: a six-way block that turns a run on any face.
- Angled Corner: a corner at any combination of X, Y and Z angles.
- Truss Spacer: fills a measured gap under 500 mm between two truss faces.
- Sleeve Block: slides on a tower and carries horizontals off it.
- Head Block: caps a tower with a sheave for the hoist line.
- Outrigger: four diagonal, clamped stabilisers from a tower base.
- Arc Truss and Circular Truss: curves by radius and angle, lying flat or standing up.
Stocked sizes, never stretched.
Straight truss comes in 500 to 4000 mm lengths in half-metre steps. Longer runs are made from real pieces, the same rule scaffold follows. Choose 290, 300, 400 or 500 mm, or a custom section with its own chord and brace diameters.
Ground support, assembled.
Build towers from a Truss Base and vertical truss. A Sleeve Block reads the tower’s width, depth and chord size and carries the horizontals, which can be smaller or larger than the tower. A Head Block takes the tower’s profile and caps it. Outriggers stabilise the base.
Then put a roof on it: Auto Roof turns four recognised truss supports into a gable, mono or pyramid canopy.

Planning, not engineering.
Structure+ is for visual planning. It does not calculate loads, working load limits or capacities, and it does not certify that any structure or rig is safe. Those decisions stay with you and the qualified people signing off the job.
