How to build an LED wall in SketchUp.

Size it, place it, bend it. The LED Wall tool builds a screen from real cabinets and lets you curve it one joint at a time.

Place the wall.

The steps below follow Structure+ 1.2.0. The video may show an earlier version, so a panel can look slightly different.

  1. In the Video/LED tab, pick LED Wall and choose a cabinet.
  2. Type a width and height in millimetres, or type a size such as 6000,3000 into the Measurements box.
  3. Choose Flybars if the wall will be flown, and the Facing and Anchor from the pictures.
  4. Click to place. The straight wall opens in Edit LED Wall, ready to bend.

Bend it and add content.

  1. Click a cabinet to select its column, or drag across several columns.
  2. Click an angle in the palette. Every selected joint bends at once; positive angles wrap towards the audience.
  3. Use Mirror to copy one side to the other, or Straighten to return joints to 0°.
  4. Pick Map Image, click the wall and choose an image. Choose Fill, Fit or Stretch.
